• Eco-Hamlet is not a hotel or a restaurant, with a menu card. It is a HOME STAY where the guests are family and the menus are fixed by the house.
  • As at home, the guests can choose their favourite food from our palette: Vegetables of their choice.
  • For lunch and dinner, one out of these: Usal/Daal/Kadhi/Saar.
  • For non-vegetarian breakfast, one out of these: Omlet/Fried/Bhurji, Bread/Toast.
  • For vegetarian breakfast,one of these: Pohe/Upama/Oat meal/Sabudana Khichdi/Idli.
  • Besides that, we accept extra orders too, subject to its availability. The price could be discussed in advance and placed order accordingly.
HOWEVER, THIS MUST BE VERY SPECIFICALLY MENTIONED AT THE TIME OF BOOKING. THE FORM GIVEN IS TO BE FILLED WITH THE DETAILS. IF THE COLUMNS ARE NOT FILLED, WE ASSUME THAT MENU CAN BE SELECTED BY THE HOUSE.

  • We have our constraints which are not in our control and there are few guidelines on which we can’t compromise:

  • We are away from the market place, so it is not possible for us to cater to last minute orders.
  • We can’t serve different items for each guest, because we do not have a restaurant where various dishes are made constantly.
  • We are not able to buy and store the supply of food because of the frequent failure of the electricity. The inverter can’t supply power to the fridge and the climate of our area, decays the non-perishables as well. This is a waste of valuable resources.
  • We adhere to the principals of sustainability; therefore, we do not keep junk food, and aerated beverages. Those who bring with them, we request them to carry the plastic packages, tins and the bottles back with them because the village is not equipped with the waste disposal system.
  • We do not have staff working on shifts, so we follow the time schedule for meals, consequently our staff gets to rest between meals. They are our family. If guests want to have late dinner, our staff can set the tables and meals in the kitchenette of the house. The cooking range is available for heating.
  • Guests are requested to respect the check-out time, so that we can clean up the area and welcome the next guests.
  • Guests are expected to save the energy by switching off lights and fans when away. This saves the valuable fossil fuel.
  • The big windows and doors are made to give the unlimited impression. However, every room has curtains and we can put them, on request.
  • The second bathroom is just a few steps from the house.
  • Closing all the doors and windows at sunset, until 8pm, saves you from mosquitos. The repellents are provided.
  • We can’t avoid harmless living being like geckos, frogs, insects around the lights, because we are in the farm.

  • Ecological living cancertainly provide you with basic comfort if not luxury!
